Originally created as a transracial parenting support group by Dr. Ruth McRoy and Ora Houston of St. James Episcopal Church in Austin, TX in 2003, Parenting Across Color is growing from a local support network to a national resource for transracial families everywhere.

We believe that by providing parents with information, encouragement and tools, our children can grow into their fullest potential as members of their cultures of origin and citizens of the world.

PAC has meant wonderful new friends and camaraderie with others in the same situation I’m in. I don’t feel as if I’m the only one with this issue of Transracial Adoption, and it’s a great comfort to me to be this supported.
